Caterpillar conducted its first ever Waste
Applications & Product Training for Greater China Region (GCR) dealers
at CEL Hong Kong. The 3-day training, from 16-18 December 2009, was part
of CAT China Specialty Industry Division’s marketing initiative for 2010
and Caterpillar MGIP (Multi Generation Industry Plan), aimed to support
dealers’ efforts towards the development of waste industry business in
the region.
A total of 20 participants from 6 GRC dealerships
(CEL, ECIM, WTC, LSH, CML and HIC) attended the 3-day training, which included
a visit to Green Valley Landfill site in Hong Kong. The classroom training
covered the following topics:
- Global Waste Value Stream & Asian Trend
- The Waste Professional
- Introduction to Landfill 101
- Brief on Cat Landfill Equipment
- Waste Fleet Analysis (WFA)
- A Case Study
CEL assisted in the arrangement of all logistics
and visit to Green Valley Landfill. The main speaker at the training session
was Mr. Tom Griffith, CAT Global Waste Applications Specialist from Peoria,
USA, supported by Mr. Lim Hai and Mr. Bill Guo from CAT Beijing.
